His work full up the dramatic figures in wild and capricious scenes, and his painting has very powerful balance that warm and cold color are half and half. Also he paints some vivid patterns that those patterns from history, he uses redefinition for patterns, and then put the new ideas and new phenomenon in the patterns. 

For my work, the red lines is golden ration, and this work express the process of historical change.  I studied various information from history, and I give feedback for history. Also I make the history for further, and history is changed by my activity. It is a interaction, the values is I learn a lot from history, not just moral things. (Morals expresses the right things, values are not about right or wrong things.) Whatever I just keep the “right things” (the golden ratio) and then create more difference and innovation. Furthermore, I think a lot of painting student are losing the “right things”, they are pursue the open ideas, and they want find a new way to express the painting. Also mostly student just talk a lot of academic topic for their presentation, but I can not find those information in their paintings. So if I want create new painting, I must study art of traditional painting, and then to do the innovative work. Just personal idea.

My work also get the pattern from the history and put the new element in the old subject. The difference is about expression, my painting is regular composition, and about a lot of different spaces of overlap, the different two marks has relationship between pigment and shade. For Frank Big Bear’s work, mostly he uses composition of portraiture, and individual pigment has independent space, for example, he paints shade of single space at inside, so it likes individual emotion.
